Flickering Flames Skirt

This is just a swatch of the lace pattern for the Luna Flickering Flames Skirt using Shine Sport(cotton/rayon blend) from Knit Picks.
My hopes is to make this skirt for my Snow Angel dress which has undergone many changes.
I still would like to achieve the gradient dark blue to white effect but I'm an unsure if I should dye the yarn first or knit up the skirt and then dye the garment.
